Sky TV is a digital television provider which offers service through its Skybox unit. It is possible for a Skybox's connection to become damaged, however, leading to a decrease in signal quality which in turn leads to a decrease in picture quality. If your picture is suffering, it is possible that the culprit is a poor connection. Testing the connection of your Skybox will provide you with a statistical readout of both the signal strength and the signal quality.

Check the connections to your Skybox, and the connections from your Skybox to your television or monitor. The exact connection configuration will vary based on the model of television you are connecting your box to; however, any configuration should be checked to ensure all cables are in place and not loose, which could cause poor signal quality.
Power on both the Skybox unit and the television it is connected to.
Press the "Services" button on your Skybox remote to open the services menu. Select "System Setup" from the services menu, which can also be accessed by pressing the 4 button after loading the services menu.
Select "Signal Test" to begin diagnostic testing. This can also be accomplished by pressing the 6 button. The signal test will analyse the strength and quality of your signal.
Read the values returned by the test. On a clear day the signal strength should be between 70 and 80 per cent. The signal quality should be between 60 and 70 per cent. If your numbers read below these levels, there is a problem with the signal you are receiving and servicing is required. Contact Sky TV to request a repair visit.
