Most Lexus vehicles feature an in-dash GPS navigation system as a standard or optional accessory. The system allows the driver to enter an address to find the best route. It is essential that Lexus owners update the "Maps" DVD every six months to a year to ensure any new roads and points of interest are kept current.

Locate your nearest Lexus dealer (see Resources). Call them and order the latest DVD update for car's model. Have your car's information ready for the order.
Go to the car when the DVD arrives. Insert the key into the ignition. Twist until the key clicks to the "ACC" position.
Locate the "Open" button on the navigation display that is built into the dash. Press it and the digital fascia will slide down and out. Look at the two DVD slots behind the unit and locate the button labelled "Map." Press it and the old DVD will slide out of the loader.
Push the new DVD into the DVD loader. Once in, press on the "Open" button again to automatically slide the fascia back into place. Your navigation system is now updated.
