Skype is computer software that allows users to make phone calls, video calls and instant message over the Internet. Making phone calls to other Skype users is free; calls to landlines and cell phones incur a fee. If you have an Archos computer, you can use Skype to call friends and family with your Internet connection.

Connect the computer to the Internet wirelessly or through an Ethernet connection.
Navigate to the "Download" section of the Skype website. The link is located in the "Resources" section.
Download the latest version of Skype by clicking the "Download" button and choosing "Save File."
Double-click the Skype program downloaded to your Archos computer and follow the onscreen instructions. The installation will take a few minutes.
Start Skype by clicking on the "Skype" on your computer.
