PowerPoint is a presentation program that is part of the Microsoft Office Suite. If you have ever tried to view more than one PowerPoint presentation at a time, you may have noticed that only one presentation will show up. If you need to quickly and easily switch back and forth between two presentations or view them both at once, there is a way to open a second presentation in a new window. The directions that follow apply to Microsoft Office 2007. Earlier versions may require a different process.

Open PowerPoint and click the Office button at the top of the page. You can save, print and open files from the menu that appears.
Click "Open" and browse through your files. Select the first PowerPoint presentation you want to view, then open the second presentation by following the same process.
Click the "View" tab from the toolbar at the top of the page and select the "Cascade" button from the menu that opens. Each presentation will appear in a separate window.
Tips and warnings
- You can drag the presentations to view them side by side. Click on one of the four corners of the presentation and resize by dragging that corner to make it fit your screen.
