Each Sony Ericsson phone differs in the way it treats photo transfers from the phone to the computer, but there are two common ways to accomplish this. Depending on the phone you own, you might transfer photos using the Mass Storage instructions or the Media Transfer instructions. If you are unsure of the way your phone handles photos, visit sonyericsson.com's support page in the References box to select your phone style and specific download method.

Instructions

    Download Photos from Mass Storage

  1. 1

Connect the USB cable to your phone and the computer. Make sure you are using the cable specific to the phone.

  2. 2

Turn your phone on if it did not turn on as soon as it was plugged in. Navigate to the "Mass Storage" section on your phone.

  3. 3

Double click the "My Computer" icon on your desktop or open your file explorer. Since the phone shows up as an external or removable drive, you can navigate to it using these icons as opposed to using separate software.

  4. 4

Double click the letter representing the phone. In some cases, this letter might be E, F or G depending on how many drives or servers you have connected to your computer. This action will open the folder where you can view the files on the phone.

Navigate to the photos on the phone and copy and paste them to the appropriate file directory on your computer using the drag and drop command or the right-click copy and paste command.
