Your BlackBerry phone can be configured with two types of e-mail accounts: BlackBerry Enterprise and webmail. While BlackBerry Enterprise mail is for a corporate e-mail account set up through an Enterprise server, webmail refers to a personal e-mail account through one of the web-based e-mail providers. To configure your webmail settings for your BlackBerry phone, use the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS).

Log into your BIS website, which is usually the same as your mobile service provider. (See Resource 1)
Click the link associated with your BlackBerry Internet mail.
Click the link to add an e-mail account to your BlackBerry phone.
Enter your e-mail address and the password. Follow the screen prompts. You are done when you receive the confirmation message that says that the test message has been received successfully.
Tips and warnings
- If you have an e-mail account through one of the major providers, such as AOL or MSN, the server often automatically detects the webmail settings. In some cases, you might have to enter the webmail settings manually. You can get these settings from your e-mail provider's support page.
