How to Convert Mac Numbers to an Excel Spreadsheet

The Apple Numbers application supports importing from the Microsoft Excel format. This allows users to open and edit Excel spreadsheets on Mac computers. The application also supports exporting spreadsheets to the Excel format. Saving a numbers spreadsheet as a Microsoft Excel document will allow you to open and edit the spreadsheet on a Windows computer.

Launch Numbers. Open the spreadsheet file you want to convert.

Click the "File" menu. Select "Save As" from the drop-down options that appear. The Save As prompt window opens.

Check the box next to "Save Copy As," then click the drop-down arrow of the same field. Select "Excel Document" from the drop-down choices.

Click the "Save" button to save the new file.
