How to Replace a Tail Light Bulb on a KIA Sportage

Changing the tail light on your Kia Sportage is one job on a vehicle that you may have to do a few times throughout the life of your Sportage. Tail lights give warning to other drivers to let them know when you are stopping or turning. You must have working tail lights on your Sportage to help ensure the safety of yourself and others while you are driving.

Instructions

    Park the Kia Sportage on level ground that is well lit and allows you plenty of room to work.

    Open the boot of your Sportage. Locate the tail light cover on the inside of the boot at the left and right corners. These are plastic covers with a plastic support screw holding them in place.

  3. 3

    Unscrew the plastic securing screw with your fingers and set the cover aside.

  4. 4

    Pull the light fixture out of the housing toward yourself to expose the burnt out light bulb. Pull the burnt out light bulb out of the fixture and set aside.

  5. 5

    Insert the new light bulb into the light fixture and replace the tail light cover to the boot frame on the Sportage and replace the securing screw into the support hole.
