Things You'll Need:
- Crescent wrench
- Hammer
- Oil pan
- Screw driver
- New seals
-
Step 1
Remove the nut from the front wheel using the crescent wrench. Use the hammer to hammer out the wheel axle from the forks and tire. You can't remove the wheel until you have removed the axle.
-
Step 2
Loosen the securing nut that connects the fork to the handle bar using the crescent wrench, then slide the fork out of its housing. Do not take the securing nut completely off of the connector.
-
Step 3
Place the fork into the oil pan, bottom-side down, and let it drain for five minutes into the oil pan.
-
Step 4
Tighten the drain nuts and remove the seal with a screwdriver, then slide the seal off the fork. Slide the new seal onto the fork and press into place firmly.
-
Step 5
Fill the fork with the recommended oil amount, as suggested in the owner's manual. Replace the fork and the wheel to the frame by completing the steps above in reverse order.
