Symantec's Norton 360 is an antivirus program designed to protect personal computers against Trojan horses, worms, viruses and other files that damage a computer's integrity. The software actively protects the computer by creating a "personal firewall," detecting and removing malware and by preventing fraudulent websites from collecting sensitive personal information. Once installed, users may notice an undesirable number of pop-up reminders from the program. But the program contains a feature called "Silent Mode," which disables the reminders.
