Jawbone manufactures high-end, Bluetooth audio devices that are designed to connect to your cellphone, music player or computer and deliver a quality audio signal. Like all Bluetooth headsets, before you can connect a Jawbone headset to a device, you must go through a pairing process that involves putting the headset into pairing mode and locating it with your device. Jawbone offers six different devices; the latest three each have a new method of entering pairing mode.

Determine which Jawbone model you have, as the pairing instructions are different for almost every device. The Jawbone Era has a face that is divided into three small squares, while the Jawbone Icon has two small squares. The Jambox is the only Jawbone device that is not a headset. The Jawbone Original has the word "Jawbone" written on the front. The last two devices, the Jawbone Prime and the Jawbone 2, have the same pairing instructions.
Put the Jawbone Era into pairing mode by sliding the power switch, located on the underside of the headset, to the "On" position. Then shake the headset four times and the LED indicator will flash red and white, indicating that the device is in pairing mode. Alternately, press and hold the "Talk" button, near the back of the device, while you slide the power switch on. Keep holding the button until the LED flashes red and white.
Put the Jawbone Icon into pairing mode by holding down the "Talk" button, located on the rear of the headset. Slide the power switch on the underside of the device to the "On" position. Hold the "Talk" button until the LED starts flashing red and white, indicating the device is in pairing mode.
Put the Jawbone Jambox into discoverable mode by sliding the "On/Off" switch, located on one end of the device, up and holding it there until the ring on the switch flashes red and white. The device will also say, "Jambox is in pairing mode."
Place the Jawbone Original into pairing mode by holding down the "NoiseAssassin" button on the end of the headset for at least three seconds. Release the button when the LED begins flashing red and white.
Put the Jawbone Prime and Jawbone 2 devices into pairing mode by holding down the "NoiseAssassin" button and the "Talk" button, located in the middle of the curved face of the headset, for at least three seconds. Release both buttons when the LED indicator flashes red and white.
