Enjoy the premium sound output of your Bose sound system using the collection of tunes stored on your iPod. Using the Bose iPod connect kit, you can pair up your iPod and Bose sound system for an incredible audio experience. Bose's line of sound systems offers high calibre auxiliary inputs to maintain the quality of sound running from your iPod--your audio is then broadcast through your Bose sound system's innovative Waveguide technology.

Instructions

  1. 1

Connect the power adaptor to the Bose iPod connect kit. Plug the barrel end of the adaptor into the power port on the back of the connect kit and plug the transformer end of the adaptor into a power outlet.

  2. 2

Place the iPod into the cradle of the connect kit. Press the port on the bottom of the iPod firmly into the dock--making a secure connection with the adaptor in the cradle of the connect kit. The iPod will light up to confirm proper insertion.

  3. 3

Connect the audio cable between the connect kit cradle and the Bose system. Plug the red and white ends of the audio cable into the red and white "Aux" in ports on the back of the Bose system and insert the opposite end of the cable into the "Audio Out" port on the connect kit cradle. Press the "Aux" button on the Bose system or Bose remote.

  4. 4

Connect the CD changer to the Bose sound system using the audio cable running from the back if you are using a Bose sound system with a Bose CD changer. Plug the red and white RCA audio ends of the audio cable into the red and white "Aux" ports on the back of the Bose sound system.

  5. 5

Connect the iPod connect cradle kit into the red and white "Aux 1" ports on the back of the Bose CD changer. Press the "Aux" button on the Bose system or Bose remote.

  6. 6

Connect the iPod to the Bose sound system without a docking system by using an RCA to 1/8-inch audio cable. Plug the 1/8-inch end of the audio cable into the headphone port on the top of the iPod and connect the red and white RCA ends--on the opposite side of the cable--into the "Aux" port on the back of the Bose system. Press the "Aux" button on the Bose remote control or the Bose unit.

Tips and warnings

  • If you already have an iPod A/V docking kit, you can use it instead of purchasing the Bose iPod docking kit.
  • Your iPod will not be charged while playing through your Bose system without using a docking kit.
