How to Charge a DualShock 3 Controller

The DualShock 3 controller is the standard controller that comes packaged with the PlayStation 3 console. The DualShock 3 controller is a wireless Bluetooth controller that runs on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The console also comes packaged with a charging cable that allows you to charge your DualShock 3 controller while using your PS3 console.

Press the "Power" button on the front of the PS3 console to turn the system on.

Press the "PS Home" button on the DualShock 3 controller to turn the controller on.

Insert the mini-USB end of the USB charge cable into the mini-USB slot on the top of the DualShock 3 controller.

Insert the standard USB end of the USB charge cable into one of the USB slots on the PS3 system. Allow several hours for the controller to finish charging. When the red light on the top of the DualShock 3 controller stops blinking, the controller is done charging.
