If you think you may be pregnant, there are two ways to find out: a urine test or a blood test. A urine test is easily accessible and can be purchased at a drugstore, while a blood test is more expensive and must be performed by a doctor. It is recommended that you wait until the first day of your missed period to do a urine test, as the results will be more accurate. One common brand of home pregnancy test is Clearblue® Easy. This test comes in both digital and plus-and-minus types. The digital test is more expensive, but it is easier to read.

Tips and warnings

  • If the blue line in the control window of the Clearblue® Easy Plus-And-Minus Results Pregnancy Test does not appear within 10 minutes, there may be a problem with the test. It is possible you did not perform the test correctly, either using too much or too little urine.
