When you buy your brand new Samsung TV, it will come with a swivel stand attached to it. The stand is convenient when you want to simply plug your TV in and begin watching right away. But if you plan to mount your LCD TV to the wall, you're going to have to remove the stand first. It is really simple to remove and reattach the stand as you please.

Lay the TV screen down on a soft surface. A bed is an ideal place to lay the screen. If you don't have a bed nearby, you can make a soft surface with a couple of pillows. The back of the TV should be facing you.
Unscrew the four screws at the bottom of the TV. You will see four screws that form the shape of a square or rectangle at the bottom of the TV. These screws are securing the stand in place.
Gently pull the stand out of its space. You will have to slightly lift the TV to get the stand out. Make sure to be gentle and not drop the TV on its screen.
Cover the hole with the cap that Samsung provides. Inside the box that your TV came in should be a cover that resembles the cover that holds in batteries on the back of a remote. You will be able to place it into the stand's hole to cover it up.
Save the screws in case you want to put the stand back on.
