Fold the sides in and cross them. Turn the napkin over, and open the ends, meeting at the top to the sides to form the legs.

  1. 1

Lay the napkin flat and turned so it looks like a diamond. Bring the top corner down towards you to the bottom corner to form a triangle whose long edge is at the top.

  2. 2

Fold the triangle in half, from left to right, to form a smaller triangle. Turn the smaller triangle so the long edge is at the top. Fold both sides down to make "ears" leaving some space across the top. For a feline variation, fold the "ears" three quarters of the way up, and turn the napkin over.

  3. 3

Make a face for a dog or cat by either drawing one using a washable marker (test first) or use candy pieces. Small round candies like M&Ms or Skittles make eyes and noses. Cut strong liquorice and shape it to make mouths and whiskers.
