The Kindle is a portable, electronic reading device that is capable of wirelessly downloading books, newspapers, magazines and blogs. According to Kindle's manufacturer Amazon, "books download in less than 60 seconds." However, before you can start downloading and reading digital books on the device, you must register it. Usually, you can register the device using the Kindle's built-in Whispernet wireless service. But some users, especially those in other countries, might not have access to the Whispernet service.
