Scoobies, also known as scoubidou strings, are hollow plastic strings that are very popular in Europe for crafts. You can make keychains or jewellery or wrap them around pens and pencils. Since the strings are hollow, you can insert wire to make them poseable.

You can create endless crafts from scoobies if you know how to make a macrame knot out of scoobies. Most keychain and jewellery designs are simply a series of macrame knots. Making a macrame knot out of scoobies is similar to making a macrame knot from hemp or yarn.
