How to find a location by phone number

Updated March 21, 2017

Have you ever needed to find a location with just a telephone number and little else? Perhaps you need to find out about a persistent caller with only the number shown from the caller ID. Before the concept of the internet search, seeking to find a location by phone number could be as tricky as investigating someone's background with no information. But today it's easy to find a location just by using the internet.

Go to www.whitepages.com.

Click on the "reverse look-up" tab located on the front page of the website.

Enter the phone number to search in the reverse phone number field. Click on the "Find" button to start your search.

Write down any address that has the same phone number listed as your telephone number.

Contact your local directory assistance number at 411 to verify address information or secure further address verification assistance.

Warning

Not all telephone numbers will produce an address. Certain cellular phone and residential numbers may be listed as non-published or unlisted, therefore producing a non-result.
