Things you need
- Three photographs
- Two miniatures hinges
- Three same-sized frames
- Photo paper
- Computer with photo editing software
Select three pictures that you would like to display in your centrepiece. You will be able to alter the photo size later, so they do not have to be symmetrical. If the centrepiece is for an event, such as a birthday or wedding, try choosing pictures that represent that event. You can also choose many photos if you are creating several centrepieces for an event. Just remember that each centrepiece will display only three photos. If the photo centrepiece is for your home, family pictures or photos from trips are great selections.
Use a scanner to upload the photos you have selected to your computer. Once you have uploaded the photos you can resize the images using your computer's default photo editing software. A good size for the pictures is about 5 inches tall and 3 inches wide. After making the pictures equal in size, print them onto photo paper and set them aside.
Choose three matching frames for your photo centrepiece. Make sure the frames are all the same height and width. If you want a classic look for your centrepiece, use standard stained-wood frames. However, if you want a more eclectic or trendy look you can use painted or coloured wooden frames.
Arrange the picture frames in a straight line. Connect the two outer frames to the centre frame by attaching the small hinges to the right centre edge and left centre edge of the middle frame. Then, attach the two outer frames to the hinges on your centre frame. After you have secured the hinges in Step 5, you should be able to fold the frames into a triangular shape.
Place your pictures into the frames and secure the backs. Stand the frames upright to form a triangle. You can now adorn your table or event tables with your personalised photo centrepiece. You can also place a small vase filled with flowers in the middle of your centrepiece. In just a short time with minimal work, you have created a beautiful photo centrepiece that will last for years. If you so choose, you can change out the pictures at any time and have a new display.
