Written by megan richardson | 13/05/2017

Slate flooring is durable and naturally stain-resistant. However, products like paint can stain the floor. The key to removing paint from a slate floor is to mix an absorbent medium with a chemical. The two ingredients work to absorb the paint out of the slate floor.

Things you need

  • Rubber gloves

  • Baby powder

  • Hydrogen peroxide

  • Stainless steel bowl

  • Metal spoon

  • Plastic spatula

Put on a pair of rubber gloves. Pour one part hydrogen peroxide and one part baby powder into a stainless steel bowl.

Mix the two ingredients together with a metal spoon.

Pour the solution onto the paint stain. Leave it on overnight.

Scrape the solution and paint off with a plastic spatula.
