New computers often come installed with software you will never use. Usually, this isn't a big deal. Sometimes, however, this software causes a conflict with other programs. Embassy Trust Suite comes installed on some Dell, Gateway and other computers. The suite's document manager causes problems when you try to install antivirus software by McAfee. You must uninstall Embassy Trust Suite before attempting to install the McAfee software (see References 1).
- Skill level:
Open your computer's control panel. Click "Start," then "Run." In the dialogue box, type "Control" and press enter.
Click "Add or remove programs."
Select "Embassy Trust Suite by Wave Systems" and click "Change/Remove."

Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
Verify that you have successfully uninstalled the program. Check the Control Panel's "Add/Remove Programs" and make sure that Embassy Trust Suite by Wave Systems no longer appears in the list of programs.
