How to Cancel a Gold's Gym Membership

Updated February 21, 2017

Gold's Gym is a chain of fitness centres offering various membership levels to its customers. If you decide you no longer wish to use your membership, there are certain procedures to follow.

Review your membership agreement--cancellation procedures can be different for each Gold's Gym.

Use the Gold's Gym locator resource in the reference section to find the nearest Gold's Gym. The company does not allow membership cancellation over the phone, by e-mail or through its website.

Go to the Gold's Gym nearest you and speak with the customer service representative or manager on duty about cancelling your membership as outlined in the membership agreement and any specific policies at that particular facility.

Be prepared to pay a cancellation fee and possibly other charges for terminating before the end of the contract term. If your contract term is up, membership typically converts to month-to-month. Depending on the gym's policy, you might receive a partial refund of the unused month.

Contact your credit card company to stop unauthorised membership charges on your account if anything goes wrong after the cancellation process and if you have used a credit card for monthly billing of the gym membership.
