Peter Pan and Robin Hood are playful and heroic characters from film and literature. They are also very common inspirations for homemade costumes. Peter Pan's feathered green hat is very similar to that worn by Robin Hood. With a little felt, a feather and some basic sewing techniques, you can create a green feathered hat in less than an hour.

Things you need
- Square of green felt
- Green multipurpose thread
- Long red feather
Fold the felt square in half diagonally to create a triangle, then cut along the fold. Match the lines together and trim as necessary to create two even triangles.
Thread the needle with green multipurpose cotton. Stitch the sides of the triangle, leaving a one-and-a-half inch seam allowance along the bottom of the hat. Turn inside out.
Fold the bottom inch and a half edge of the hat up and stitch the loose ends to secure them.
Sew the red feather onto the side of the hat, hiding the stitches with the folded rim.
