GrooveMonitor.exe is a service that is installed when you install Microsoft Office 2007 and belongs to the GrooveMonitor utility. It tracks Microsoft Groove behaviour and creates error reports that are sent back to Microsoft. When you uninstall Microsoft Office 2007, GrooveMonitor.exe remains and continues to automatically launch during start-up. Removing it from your start-up list and from your computer system is a quick process if you no longer run Microsoft Office 2007 or have any use for it.
