Updated February 21, 2017

A "Caller ID" on an iPhone is the name that is displayed when a particular person calls you. It can be their real name, a nickname or something else entirely. Whatever it is, as long as their phone number is saved in your phone, it will be displayed. For new iPhone users, navigating the interface can be tricky. Changing a Caller ID after you've saved it can seem impossible. Use this article as a guide as you change a Caller ID on an iPhone.

Select the "Contacts" application from your iPhone's main menu. This will bring up a list of contacts stored on your device, including both telephone and e-mail information. This information is arranged alphabetically.

Navigate to the person whose Caller ID you wish to change. You can do this by sliding your finger up and down the screen until the name appears. To select the name, press on the screen with your finger.

Select the "Edit" button in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Select the person's name from the top of the screen. This will take you to a screen where you can change both her first and last name. This is the information that displays when she calls. Change the information on this screen to whatever you want. After doing this you, will have effectively changed her Caller ID for your iPhone.
