Adult Friend Finder is a pay Internet service promising users access to a database of single men and women living in their same area. Occasionally certain sites feature a pop-up advertisement for Adult Friend Finder, which pops up on a user's screen and is generally irritating. In the past there wasn't much you could do about these kinds of pop-up advertisements, but that isn't the case anymore.

    Open your Web browser. Go to your browser's "Internet Options" setting. In Firefox, select "Options" from the "Tools" drop-down menu. In Internet Explorer, select "Internet Options" from the "Tools" drop-down menu.

    Click on the "Content" tab in the window that pops up in Firefox. If you're using Internet Explorer, click on the "Privacy" tab.

    Make sure the box next to "Block Pop Up Windows" is checked. This will enable the browser's built-in pop-up advertisement blocking functionality, which will disable any ads before they appear--including the ad for Adult Friend Finder.
