Feeling good about how you look when you leave the house can be hard to do when dealing with the problem of static cling. Static cling is when an article of clothing, such as a skirt or dress trousers, is clinging to your body or itself when it shouldn’t be. It makes the clothes not fit properly, and it can look a bit silly, too. You can eliminate static cling on your clothes before you leave the house.

  1. 1

Place a quarter of a dryer sheet in with your clothes with your clothes while they dry. This will help prevent the build-up of the electrical charges that cause static cling.

  2. 2

Remove your clothes from the drier before they are completely dry and let them air dry. This will prevent static cling.

  3. 3

Use an air humidifier. If there's moisture in the air, static cling never has a chance to form.

  4. 4

Add moisture to the air after you put on your clothes to eliminate static cling. Use a spray bottle to mist the air in front of you and then walk through the mist while wearing the clothes that are causing the static cling problem.
