  1. 1

Remove the battery pack from the back of your Xbox 360 controller. Once the battery pack is removed, unscrew all of the screws that hold the plastic covering in place, including the one inside the battery pack slot.

  2. 2

Remove the plastic covering to expose the controller's motherboard and other internal components. Lift up on the motherboard and remove it from the faceplate of the controller. The left and right virbating pieces are attached by wires, so make sure you lift those up, so the wires do not disconnect.

  3. 3

Solder the positive and negative wires to the underside of each LED light, making sure to note which is which. Locate the four tiny copper holes directly in the middle of the controller and to the left of the joystick; these are the holes where the positive wire needs to be soldered. Locate the four tiny copper holes just to the right of the joystick, as these are where the negative wires should be soldered. Solder all of the negative wires in place before moving on to the positive wires.

  4. 4

Glue the LED lights to the bottom of the clear trigger pieces and to the underside of each of the A, B, X, and Y buttons.Remove the old white trigger pieces and replace them with the new clear pieces; these will just pop out and back into place very easily.

  5. 5

Wait for everything to dry fully and then reassemble the controller by putting each piece back in the exact spot from where it was removed. Finally, rescrew each of the five screws back into place to reattach the back plastic covering. Once the battery pack in reinserted, the controller and newly installed LED lights will work properly.
