To convert an annual salary into a monthly salary, you must know how often you get paid. Companies can pay on a weekly basis, bi-weekly basis, twice a month or monthly. If you are paid on or about the first and fifteenth of the month, you are paid twice a month. If you are paid every two weeks, you are paid on a bi-weekly basis. Because some months contain five weeks, you cannot just divide your annual salary by two if you are paid bi-weekly. These computations can also be used to figure out child support and alimony payments.

Instructions

  1. 1

Divide the annual salary by 24 if you are paid on or about the first and 15th of the month. If you make £32,500, each paycheck will be £1,354.10.

  2. 2

    Multiply £1,354.10 by 2 to get your monthly gross paycheck amount ($2,083.33 x 2 = £2,708.3).

  3. 3

Subtract the taxes and other deductions to figure your net paycheck amount, then multiply that number by 2 to get your monthly net (take home) pay.

  1. 1

Divide the annual salary by 26. There are 52 weeks in a year. If you are paid every 2 weeks, you will get 26 paychecks per year. If you make £32,500, each paycheck will be £1,250.00.

  2. 2

Multiply £1,250.00 by 26 and divide by 12 to get your actual monthly salary.

  3. 3

Figure your net monthly salary by subtracting taxes and other deductions from each paycheck. Multiply the result by 26, then divide by 12. This figure will be your net monthly salary.

  1. 1

Divide the annual salary by 52 (52 weeks in a year). If you are paid every week, you will get 52 paychecks per year. If you make £32,500, each paycheck will be £625.00.

  2. 2

Multiply £625.00 by 52, then divide by 12 to get your actual monthly salary.

  3. 3

Figure you net monthly salary by subtracting taxes and other deductions from your weekly salary. Multiply the net weekly salary by 52, then divide by 12. This will give you your net (take home) monthly salary.
