Japanese cars have long been tweaked and customised to make them faster and flashier. One Japanese car that has a reputation for sporting quite a bit of muscle under the bonnet is the Nissan Skyline R34. This stunning car is quite fun to illustrate. The main thing that you must concentrate on while drawing a car like this is to get the basic shapes correct while adding the small details that give this car its true personality. For the example in this article, you will be drawing the Nissan Skyline R34 from the side. This angle showcases more of the features of this automobile.
Draw a rectangle for the side of the car. Add two circles to the bottom right and left corners for tires. Add a rectangular shape on top of the middle of the rectangle for the roof and windows of the car. Make this shape smaller at the top than the bottom.
Draw a rectangle on the bottom right and left corners of the body of the car for the front and back bumpers. Add the windows with two rectangular shapes, side by side inside the trapezoid shape on top of the car. Add a side door with a rectangle just below the side windows.
Add the headlights with two small rectangles stacked one on top of the other at the left side of the main rectangle. Add the door handle in the upper-right side of the door with a small thin rectangle. Attach a small semicircle to the bottom of this shape. Draw a small thin triangle on the bonnet of the car. Add the spoiler with a small thin rectangle just above the boot of the car. Connect the spoiler to the car with two small square shapes.
Trace over all the pencil lines with your black ink pen. Let the ink dry and erase your pencil lines.
Make a photocopy of the illustration and test out different paint or design ideas without ruining the picture.
Let the ink dry thoroughly before erasing the pencil, or your picture will smudge.
