There are many techniques for organisation and management that we can learn from the military. The military places a high priority on accomplishing tasks efficiently. If you appreciate streamlining your work and getting things done well, you may want to borrow some methods from the military. For example, learn how to fold a T-shirt military style, and you will have neatly folded T-shirts and more room in your drawer. Once you learn how this is done, you won't want to do it any other way.
Lay the T-shirt out on a flat work surface with the front of the T-shirt facing up. Smooth out all the wrinkles.
Grasp the shirt at both side edges approximately 1/3 of the way up from the bottom edge of the T-shirt.
Pull the sides of the T-shirt straight up to fold the open end of the t-shirt to the underside. The bottom of the T-shirt will now be a folded edge.
Fold the left third of the T-shirt toward the centre and lay it there.
Fold the right third of the T-shirt toward the centre and lay it over the left third.
Begin rolling the T-shirt up very tightly, starting at the neck edge. Roll the T-shirt all the way up until you reach the folded edge at the bottom of the T-shirt.
Pick up the rolled T-shirt and find the flap that you folded in step 2. Take this flap and pull it over the rolled T-shirt to secure the T-shirt into a tight and neat folded package.
