Recycling is important to help preserve the environment; you can help right in your own kitchen or bathroom. Build a foam soap dispenser and never buy another disposable plastic soap bottle again. You will also reduce the amount of chemicals you use by using less soap. This is an inexpensive project that requires a minimum amount of effort.

  1. 1

Purchase an empty foam soap dispensing bottle at a kitchen and bath speciality store or a store such as Walmart or Target. Specialty companies such as Pampered Chef also sell the bottles. Choose a size based on your requirements. Bathrooms often require smaller bottles than kitchens.

  2. 2

Fill the bottle to create a 1 1/2 inch layer of soap. Use a non-lotion dish or hand soap to avoid clogging. Anti-bacterial soaps work well.

  3. 3

Add water to within 1 inch of the top of the bottle.

  4. 4

Secure the bottle top, shake and pump.
