Rosewater and glycerin are beauty secrets that have been used by women for generations, and they're still just as effective as they ever were. The rose nourishes the skin, the glycerin acts as a great oil-free moisturizer and the scent will soothe you. You can make your own rosewater and glycerin face cream very easily.

  • 1 1/2 cups rosewater
  • 3 tsp. glycerin

  1. 1

Begin by making the rosewater. Place a large handful of clean, dried rose petals into a sterilized jar and cover the petals with boiling water. Be sure all the petals are immersed in the water.

  2. 2

Put the lid on the jar and let the rose petals infuse overnight. Strain the rosewater into a mixing bowl the next morning, and discard the petals.

  3. 3

Add the glycerin, aloe vera gel, royal bee jelly, rose essential oil and grapefruit seed extract.

  4. 4

Break open the vitamin E capsules and add the oil to the mixture.

  5. 5

Whisk the mixture together until all the ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.

  6. 6

Put the rosewater and glycerin face cream in a sterilized container with a securely fitting lid and store it in the refrigerator between uses.

  7. 7

Massage the rosewater and glycerin face cream into your face with cotton balls at bedtime.
