"iTunes" can be used on many computers and music devices to play music. However, some devices require the use of CDs, and CDs are also a solid storage device to which you can back up your music. "iTunes" has a function that allows you to store your downloaded music to a CD.

Open up the "iTunes" application on your computer. Double-click "Playlist" on the left side of the screen. If you have not set up a playlist, select "File" and click "New Playlist" to create an "Untitled Playlist." Create a name for your playlist and drag and drop the songs into the new playlist.

Put a blank CD into the CD drive, click "File" and select "Burn CD Into Playlist." Once the songs download to the CD it will say "Checking Playlist." The process may take between one and five minutes, depending on how many songs are copied to the CD.

After the process has completed, the songs will be in the correct format and can be played on CD players.
