Nothing goes better with a savoury pasta dish, than garlic bread. Instead of a garlic-like flavour with storebought garlic bread, create your own garlic butter and refrigerate. Recipe makes 12 servings.
Peel, rinse and chop garlic cloves. For garlic butter with chunks of butter, chop coarsely.
Unwrap stick of butter and put it in the small plastic container.
Mix butter, garlic and parsley together.
Whip with fork until blended.
Refrigerate until ready to use.
Tastes great with toast or French bread Allow butter to soften naturally; sit it out 30 minutes before you chop garlic. For a healthier verson, use light butter or a butter substitute.
