How to Install a Wireless Security Camera Outside Your Home

Decide where you want to install the camera.

Pick the best angle for the camera.

Choose the height of the camera position.

Hold the camera's mounting bracket in place with one hand and use a pencil to mark the screw holes with the other.

Select a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the screw you will use to mount the bracket.

Drill a hole into the wall.

Hold the mounting bracket in place and insert the screws into the predrilled holes.

Place the camera onto the mounting bracket.

Plug the camera into an outlet or insert batteries, depending on the type of camera you own.

Follow the manufacturer's directions to synchronize the camera to the base station.
