Once you send an email, you have little control over who reads it or passes it onto someone else. If you are sending business emails, you may want to track the journey of your email if you know it will be forwarded to colleagues or contacts. There is a way within Microsoft Outlook to achieve this with a few simple steps.
Power up your computer. Click "Start", "All Programs" then "Microsoft Outlook" to run the email program.
Click "New" to create a new email message. If you want to track an email you have already sent or received, click on that email to open.
Click "Options" then "Follow Up." Click "Flag for Recipients." Click "Flag for Me" then click "Ok."
To view your tracked message, open the original email. Click on the "InfoBar" then click "Open Original Flagged Message."
