The most probable cause of the oven in your electric stove not working is a shorted out bake element. Before buying a new part, a quick check with a Multimeter will tell you if the element is faulty. If the element has shorted out, installing a replacement is relatively easy task.

Unplug the appliance from its power source; if the stove is hard wired, either turn off the stove circuit breaker switch or remove the relevant fuse from your household electrical panel.
Open the oven door and remove the oven racks. Locate the bake element above the oven floor; it is usually secured to the back wall with two hex head screws.
Remove the element mounting screws with a nut driver and pull it out. Switch your Multimeter to the ohms setting and rotate the range selection dial to the lowest setting for ohms of resistance. If you’re using an analogue meter, pinch the two probes together and turn the adjusting wheel on the side of the meter until the gauge reads zero. Touch the black probe to one of the element connections, and the red probe to the other. If the Multimeter readout or digital display fails to move, the element has shorted out and must be replaced.
Pull the two electrical spade connectors out of the terminals with needle nose pliers and remove the old element. If the connections are not accessible from the front, unscrew the back panel to gain access to the terminals. Disconnect the element by undoing the two element connector nuts and remove the element.
Insert the new element, reconnect the wires and secure the element to the back oven wall with the two mounting screws removed earlier. Replace the back panel if applicable.
Reinstall the oven racks, restore electrical power, and turn the oven on to ensure that it’s working properly.
