The Android email client is a comprehensible app capable of accessing the accounts of Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo users. However, despite its usability, the client does not allow the user to create folders for all of these accounts directly from a mobile device – only for Gmail. Users will have to create their new folders by accessing their accounts on a web browser. Once this is done, the Android app will allow you to use the additional folders with ease.

Skill level:
Moderately Easy

In the top right corner, there will be a “+” icon which is the “Create new folder” option. Tap it.

  4. 4

The client will ask you to “Select where to create folder.” Choose your preferred destination by selecting the available folders. Alternatively, you may choose to place your new folder amongst the available folders, rather than within one of them. You can do this simply by tapping your username which will be displayed above your list of folders.
