If you've shelled out on a big, fancy Smart TV, you probably won't want to watch Netflix on smaller devices such as a desktop or laptop computer, no matter how large their screens. You'll be able to view the streaming video service on your Internet-ready set if it's supported by Netflix. The process of setting things up shouldn't be too taxing for you, either in terms of time or effort. If you haven't already got a Netflix account, you could even earn yourself some money in the process.

Instructions

  1. 1

Connect your TV to the Internet and press "Smart Hub" on your remote control.

  2. 2

Hit "Netflix" and select "Yes" if you're already a member of the video steaming service. If you're not, you'll need to sign up for an account. You can check the service out by signing up for a one-month free trial. Netflix occasionally offers cashback for new sign-ups through sites such as Quidco and TopCashBack, so check these out before signing up directly to see if you could earn yourself a few quid.

  3. 3

Tap in your Netflix email address and password as prompted and select "Sign In." You'll then be able to peruse the films and TV shows available at your leisure. If you have a Samsung C Series device, you'll need to Select "Internet @TV" from your main "Home" screen or press "Internet @TV" on your remote before confirming you're a Netflix member and signing in.

Tips and warnings

  • Streaming film and television programs via Netflix is data-intensive. If you don't have an all-you-can-eat data plan from your Internet service provider, using the service for extended periods could end up costing you. Contact your ISP to conform your data allowance before viewing.
