Signing in to Gmail is easy and fast, whether you're doing it from your desktop or laptop computer or from a mobile device such as a phone or tablet.

Navigate to the Gmail homepage using your web browser.
Enter your Gmail username in the "Username" box on the right-hand side of the screen. If you don't have a Gmail account, click on "Create an account" in the top right corner of the screen to set one up.
Enter your account password in the "Password" field and click "Sign in." If you want to stay signed in to your account, tick the "Stay signed in" box before clicking "Sign in."
From your computer
Download the Gmail app from your mobile device's app store. This will vary depending on the operating system your phone's powered by. For instance, on an Android handset, use Google Play. On an iOS device, download from the iTunes App Store. Alternatively, you can use your device's web browser to access Gmail using the instructions above.
Tap the Gmail app icon to open it.
Type your Google account username and password in the boxes provided, then tap "Sign in."
