How to fit IKEA drawer dampers

IKEA kitchen and bedroom cabinets come with a drawer dampening system that prevents your drawers from closing too violently. Once in place, your drawer dampers will ensure that your drawers close smoothly and quietly and protect against the body of your cabinet sustaining damage. Once you've got your drawer runners fitted into your cabinet, it's a straightforward process to fit your dampers.

Extend both the retractable drawer sliders to their full length.

Remove the drawer dampers from their packaging.

Click the drawer dampers into place at the back of the section of the slider connected to the side of the cabinet.

Push the retractable section of the slider back into the cabinet while holding the back of the drawer damper until you hear a click.

Insert your drawer into position on the sliders and push into place.
