LabVIEW is a graphical development platform and environment used by engineers to develop and measure laboratory equipment. It supports serial communication with a hardware device allowing it to be used to read, write data and control devices.

Serial Read Write

From the interface, the user selects an action, read or write on the front panel. Only specified bytes will be executed.

Set Break

During serial communication, breaks can be introduced and monitored in the data line on the interface giving more control over the device.

Serial lines can be monitored and their states controlled using various commands.

Transceiver Control

It is possible to specify a specific port and perform a Serial Port Read and Write combination. This transceiver mode is sometimes limited to interfaces developed only by certain manufacturers.
