The Toshiba Value Added Package (TVAP) is a suite of utilities which the Toshiba Corporation released to address hardware and software issues on Toshiba desktop and laptop computers. It's available as a download directly from Toshiba's website.

The Toshiba Value Added Package is meant for computers using versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system. According to Toshiba, the Value Added Package includes the following programs and utilities: Toshiba Utilities, Toshiba Common Modules, Power Saver, Accessibility and Fnesse.

Installation of the TVAP works as follows: after downloading the application from Toshiba, save and close all open applications. Open the downloaded file and click "OK" to unzip it. Click "OK" again and move through the "User Account Control" window. Click "Next" after the computer has rebooted, and then click "Next" once more. The installer prompts you to answer some questions to complete the installation.

The Value Added Package comes in different versions, and which one you should download depends on which Toshiba computer you're using. Some computers compatible with TVAP 1.1.7, for example, include the Toshiba A105-S4397, A105-S45472 and A105-S4547. Visit the Toshiba Content Details website to find out if your computer is compatible with the Toshiba Value Added Package.
