AppCrash is an error associated with the Windows operating system. AppCrash can prevent you from using certain applications. Note that the instructions listed apply to the Windows 7 and Vista operating systems.

When you experience an AppCrash error, the application you are using will stop working and a pop-up will appear stating that "Application X has stopped operating." The pop-up will include a list of technical information, including the cause of the error.

The AppCrash error occurs when software files or documents become faulty. Several reasons might cause this to occur, including the presence of a computer virus or an out-of-date driver.

To fix the AppCrash error, run a complete scan of your computer using antivirus software. If this does not solve the problem, navigate to the Microsoft: AppCrash Error Repair website and click "Download Error AppCrash Fix." Then follow the prompts to run the tool.
