Mazda is a Japanese automaker founded in 1920. The high-performance, MZR-L3T 2.3-litre engine is one of Mazda's most powerful engines, and it is featured in models such as the Mazda Speed 3.

Engine Specifications

The MZR-L3T is a 2.3-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged engine. This engine's fuel control system is a double overhead camshaft that features four valves per cylinder. The turbocharger is a Warner-Hitachi K04 and features an air-to-air intercooler. The MZR-L3T features a direct coil-on-plug electronic ignition. Both the engine block and cylinder head are made of aluminium alloy.


The MZR-L3T is capable of producing 263 horsepower at 5,500rpm. This engine's torque rating is 280 pound-feet at 3,000rpm. The MZR-L3T has a redline speed of 6,700rpm, which is the maximum speed the engine can achieve without causing damage to its components.
