Outlook Web Access is a means of accessing e-mail on a Microsoft Exchange e-mail server. It is not possible to backup e-mail directly from the Outlook Web Access interface, so your mail will be backed up using whatever backup procedures are in place for your Exchange server.

Microsoft Exchange Server is a commonly used corporate e-mail system. Outlook Web Access allows users to view their Exchange mailbox from any web browser.

Exchange Server generally manages and stores the mailboxes for an entire company and the IT department will have a process in place for backing up all necessary data.

IT teams have various options for backing up Microsoft Exchange. Extensive guidance is provided on the Microsoft website and various specialist products are available to backup Exchange, some with advanced sets of features.

If you are concerned about how the email you access via Outlook Web Access is backed up and at what frequency, check with your company IT department or the company that maintains your Exchange server. It is likely procedures are already in place.
