Iron-on transfers offer a way to brighten up your clothes. Plain T-shirts, jackets, jeans and even shoes may be decorated with iron-on designs. You may make your own distinctive iron-on motifs at home with your laser printer.

Features

Laser printer transfer paper has a special coating. This coating allows pigments from the printer, or in some cases from the paper itself, to be heat-transferred onto fabric with a domestic iron.

Benefits

It is much cheaper to make your own designs at home than it is to pay for a custom T-shirt. If you print your own designs, you may make as many or as few copies as you like and apply them to any item of apparel you like, instead of having to choose from a limited range.

Considerations

Make sure you choose the right kind of laser transfer paper for your project. If the item is made from a dark fabric, you'll need special transfer paper that comes with its own light pigments. When printing, make sure you flip the image back to front, or it will come out reversed on the garment.
