Fujikura Technology

All Fujikura shafts are made from premium materials, according to the Fujikura Golf website, and Fujikura works directly with the material manufacturers. The woven carbon fabrics form a lightweight material that allows for high club speed yet is durable enough to withstand the rigours of golf. Some of the materials used in Fujikura shafts are the same ones used in Formula One racing cars.

Fujikura and Callaway

Fujikura shafts come standard on certain Callaway clubs. The Fujikura Speeder collection is used with Callaway FT-i drivers. The 586 shaft model is lighter and suits players with a slower swing speed. The 686 model is slightly heavier and is appropirate for players with a higher swing tempo. Both feature a .350-inch shaft diameter, and shaft lengths can be modified for each golfer.

Other Fujikura Models

Fujikura offers a variety of shafts that can be affixed to Callaway clubs or any other brand. The Fujikura 150 is suitable for golfers with relaxed swing speeds, while the Speeder Pro creates higher ball flight for players with quicker swings. Fujikura also offers "Fit-On Studio," a program that ensures your clubs are fitted with a shaft suitable for your swing.
